NGSSA Sportsmanship Award
Every year the Board of Directors hands out 5 awards to the team that is voted Best Sportsmanship during the season.
At the beginning of the season, the coaches are reminded to watch the other teams, during the regular season and tournament play and make a mental note of those teams that are
A) Fun to play
B) Show great attitudes both during and after the game
C) Have coaches who are good role models for the players
In our final coaches meeting in May, ballots are handed out to all coaches to vote for the team they choose.
The five teams each receive a Gift Card, usually in the $75. range, so that the team can go out and have ice cream or a little party to celebrate their accomplishment.
