NGSSA Tournament Rules
[Effective Date: May 3, 2006]

Remember, tournament rules are the same as the current NGSSA Rules, with the following exceptions:

 

 

Minor Tournament Rules

Coin flip will determine home team at start of all games.
2
Games #1 through #28 will have a time limit, no new inning will begin after 1 hour 15 minutes.

Team player will only pitch the first inning of games #1 through #28.

Game ends early if either team is ahead by 15 or more runs after 4 complete innings, or ahead by 10 or more runs after 5 innings. (Except game #29 and on.)

Games #29 and on will be full 7 innings.

Regular season rules are in effect for game #29 and on.

The three run limit is in effect when the team player is pitching. The five run limit is in effect when the coach pitches, and there is a 7 run limit in the 7th inning.

Home plate template will be used in all innings in which a team player pitches.
   

Major Tournament Rules

Games #1 through #18 will have a time limit, no new inning begin after 1 hour 15 minutes.

2-1/2 strike rule will be used during the tournament in games #1 through #18.

Game ends early if either team is ahead by 15 or more runs after 4 complete innings, or ahead by 10 or more runs after 5 innings. (Except game #19 and on.)

Games #19 and on, will be full 7 innings.

Regular season rules are in effect for game #19 and on.
   

Jr/Sr High Tournament Rules

Coin flip will determine home team at start of all games.
2
Games will be full 7 inning games, with a time limit.
3
No new inning after 2 hours.

Game ends early if either team is ahead by 15 or more runs after 4 complete innings, or ahead by 10 or more runs after 5 innings.
   

Always remember the following code of conduct:

 
PLEASE REMEMBER AND INFORM YOUR TEAM AND PARENTS
Coaches will be responsible for the enforcement of parent's behavior during the tournament. Failure to do so may result in forfeit.
Balls and strikes will not be argued. Violators may be ejected from the game.
No alcoholic beverages, smoking, sunflower seeds, or chewing tobacco are allowed at the North Creek complex.
